Welcome to the Stonewall PTA Health and Wellness Page

We have had an exciting start to the school year.  We had a large number of Stonewall families participate in the PTA 5K on October 9th.  We placed 2nd overall for the most registrants in Fayette County Public Schools for the PTA 5K.  Also, we were one of 10 schools in the nation selected to win a $1,000 PTA Healthy Lifestyles Grant.  This implements our committee’s plans for “Healthy Stonewall” that will be ongoing throughout the school year.

Stonewall Health and Wellness night was our kick off celebration for National Healthy Lifestyles Month and the Healthy and Fit Stonewall program.  We had several local health and wellness businesses/groups participate in the event.  It was a fun and informative night for Stonewall families.

In the upcoming year, we are going to be working with students to increase their fruit and vegetable consumption and their physical activity.   Please support your child as they work to incorporate these behaviors.  Below are some links to helpful information on how to be more active as a family and how to incorporate more fruits and vegetables in to your family’s diet.
